Willow is cautious of Amity, and she is almost caught when she catches Luz eating a sandwich during lunch. Because abominations don't eat, Amity thinks she has caught her red-handed, but she is instead sent to Principal Bump's office. When Willow understood what Amity did in her head in "Understanding Willow", she was slow to accept Amity as a friend yet, but says "that it's a start", partially forgiving her. During the time skip in "Thanks to Them", Willow sports a pink sleeveless top with white shoulder straps, green shorts, blue flip-flops, and a pink butterfly hair clip. She wears several more outfits throughout her stay but has two prominent sets of clothes she wears.

As Vee shows her and Amity an alarm clock, the witches misunderstood and destroy the clock, with Willow summoning a vine through the floor of a second story room. After introducing Luz to Gus, Willow goes to her abomination class and presents a goo-covered Luz as her abomination. She not only gets an A+ for her assignment, but also receives the top student badge worn by Amity. However, the latter begins to suspect foul play and angrily warns Willow that she intends to get the badge back.

However, when Amity is exposed of cheating on Lilith's part, she runs off and lashes out at Luz, accusing her for humiliating her in front of the Emperor's Coven and embarrassing her at school, while lamenting how much pressure she puts on herself to be the best. However, she is surprised when Luz shows kindness while trying to comfort her and allows her to continue magic training.[25] Despite still acting hostile towards Luz, Amity slowly begins to show a sentimental side and claims she is trying to understand Luz. Eventually, she starts to become fascinated with her desire to be genuine friends, and after a night of peril with her at the library, they make up and bond over their shared love of The Good Witch Azura. The monster is revealed to be "Inner Willow", a version of Willow who acts as the guardian and aide to her memories. When Luz notices a memory of Willow and Amity at a birthday party, Willow turns the photo around and tries to avoid the topic by telling Luz to leave it alone. The bell rings and they head to lunch, but Luz sneaks back to turn the photo around again with hoping that it'll help the two make amends somehow. Once Luz has left the room, Amity passes by and notices the photo, freaks out and tries to burn up the photo, but as a result ends up burning all the memories hung up on display.
They both support each other's interests, such as a photo depicting Hunter trying to assist Willow with gardening, and Willow complimenting Hunter's O'Bailey costume and asking to read "Cosmic Frontier" when he's done with it, which comes off as flirting with him. After seeing that Belos has possessed Hunter and he nearly drowns himself as a last resort to finish off the quasi-immortal witch hunter, Willow lays Hunter down and keeps his head on her lap as she worries over him surviving. After Flapjack's sacrifice, Willow helps Hunter sit up and hugs him as comfort over losing his best friend. Luz cherishes Willow as a friend and is always quick to remind her of her best attributes whenever she doubts herself, such as in "Hooty's Moving Hassle" when she encourages her to save them and Gus from falling from a cliff by saying that, after Eda, Willow is the strongest witch she knows. Luz is also always willing to jump into the fray whenever Willow's well-being is at risk, such as going into her mind to repair her memory in "Understanding Willow" and offering to take Willow's torment from Boscha unto herself to spare her from any more, putting even her own life at risk. Once Willow's memory is restored in the former episode, Luz welcomes her back with an eager hug, stating that "[she'd] hug her so hard, she'd never forget [Luz] again".
His body is obliterated when King frees the Collector, who cancels the draining spell. Belos begins to melt due to the boiling rain and unsuccessfully attempts to deceive Luz into helping him again before his remains are stomped to death by Eda, King, and Raine. During their time in Willow's mind, Luz gets to observe more about Amity and Willow's past as friends, and questions why Amity keeps avoiding one specific memory - the same photo of them at a birthday party. As Amity avoids the topic, a pink monster, similarly hued to the flames Amity ignited the photos with, appears and chases Amity and Luz into a memory from their swim lessons.
Willow and the others tell Luz they do not blame her for the Day of Unity and she, Gus, Hunter, Amity, Luz, and Camila go through the portal and into the Demon Realm. Despite Luz being a human, Willow has no problems acting kind and friendly towards her, didn't care what other witches and demons thinks about her. In the epilogue of "Watching and Dreaming", Willow's hair is shown to have been cut short, still with a green streak, which she wears with a leaved headband around it. She has a cardinal tattoo (as do the rest of her friends) on her left shoulder to symbolize the loss of Flapjack. She blames Amity for every problem in her life and acts annoyed when Amity mistakes her as weak. If all she’s ever practiced is abomination magic how did she get so good at plant magic. I understand she’s a prodigy or whatever but it’s so obvious she was just given something so we just accept that she’s all confident when she has don’t literally nothing to earn that confidence. Willow is a boring character who doesn’t deserve everything that’s been given to her. In season two, Kikimora shows more of her ruthless side as she uses her dragon in an attempt to murder Hunter and take credit for his mission of retrieving palismen. However, upon hearing that she might acquire a long-coveted promotion, she turns on them.
